YOUR Top 10 Posts of 2022 & MY Top 10 Posts of 2022

A recipe is a story that ends with a good meal.

Pat Conroy
As I lay here on Saturday December 31, 2022 in the early hours of the morning, I reflect on the past year. The ups, the downs, the challenges and the triumphs. This year HoneyBears and SydneyBeans continued to climb in readership reaching an all time high of 123 000 views this year! Although my new page didn’t drop this year as I was hoping, I am positive that the new look is coming soon. Do you know how hard it is to pick fonts?!? Ugh! 😂

I am a storyteller. I love to write. I know people go to blog sites for a recipe and want to skip the “story” but I will continue writing and telling my stories, giving you a great recipe option and ending with a personal photo galley of my week. I appreciate each and every person who takes the time to f0llow my tales, tries my recipes, comments and shares!

Thank you 💛.

This year I became an Amazon Affiliate and I wanted to thank everyone who uses my link above for all your Amazon shopping needs. I am hoping that the small commission will add up at some point and my little blog will help me to bring in some money for my family since I have been unable to go back to work at the same capacity as before my diagnosis.

I definitely noticed a trend to my viewership! The longer the post is out there, the more popular it becomes. Slowly each week ticks up so the majority of YOUR Top 10 posts this year were from early 2022. HOWEVER, there were some GREAT recipes and stories from later posts throughout the year SO I picked MY Top 10 posts too!

Thank you for helping me get through this year. It was a rough one but having this space to be able to record my thoughts and my feelings has been therapeutic and just plain old fun. I am excited to continue to grow so please keep on sharing, liking, commenting and reaching out!

Check out How Was Your Week, Honey? Episode #309: New Year’s in Sweats HEREThis week, it’s a quiet New Year’s Eve at home to discuss: Robux, no kids, Elderflower Spritz, bottle thief, That 90’s Show, baby names, Google searches, top video clips, songs, & memories of 2022.

Resting. That’s how we spent the second week of holidays, the last week of 2022. We took it easy and spent time with family. We had a THIRD Christmas at Dad’s with My Sis and her family. We all got spoiled and we were finally able to show everyone the trays we got made for Dad and J, Sis and BIL and my ILaws!!! Dad and J enrolled me in the Jilly Academy marketing course!!! I am SO excited!!! Oliver is enjoying his walks again now that it isn’t so cold out, we had more snow, had holiday drinks, did errands, had friends over, spent time in bed resting, opened up 2023 planners and baked doughnuts!
This New Years Eve was different. This was the first time since 2007 we didn’t spend it as a family. It was a little sad. This year Ninja & I really just wanted a quiet, no stress and NO pressure evening! This was a tough year. I didn’t want to celebrate the year that was and I didn’t really want to waste my energy on cheering on a new year that will be just as challenging. I wanted to quietly reflect on the year and spend it with my Ninja. He has looked after me and our family so well this year. He has been Mom, Dad, Husband, Friend, Boss and Protector. Spending a nice relaxing evening with him as we prepare to take on whatever 2023 throws at us was just what I needed. SBean had the BEST time in Kelowna with her cousins enjoying the party, fondue and fireworks. HBear had her first NYE Party! She had her 3 Besties over to play an escape room, eat junk food, pizza, and ring in the New Year!
I woke up on January 1, 2023 (that’s crazy to write that!!!) feeling alert and ready for the year to come. Bring it on. I’m ready 💛.
