Spring Music & Cocktails

A well-crafted cocktail is a symphony in a glass. - Debasish Mridha

Guess what comes out in 4 days? Taylor Swift’s new album! Happy birthday to me! Where I live, we are fully out of late winter vibes and the sun is shining, the trees are budding, and the magnolias are blooming! It is officially spring! While I cannot wait for Tay Tay to drop her latest album, I’ve been busy listening to my Spring Playlist! Spring music to me is about fresh starts, driving beats, and playing the music loudly with the car windows down and the wind rushing through my hair! It’s going for walks with my earbuds in, music blaring, and the warm sunshine on my face. It’s about grabbing life by the horns and rushing headfirst into adventure! Wow! I certainly hope these songs live up to all that I just described lol. These are 20 songs that are on my Spotify Spring Vibes Playlist that have been total earworms so far this season. Enjoy.

Are you ready for some AMAZING Spring Cocktails??? These 6 drinks blew our minds! They are basically spring in fancy glasses! Ninja used fresh springtime fruit to make these FRESH, DELICIOUS and EXCITING spring cocktails. Just click on the name of the drink below and it will take you directly to the recipe!

We started with Taylor Swift’s favourite drink, and possibly MY new favourite as well, a French Blonde! This is classy, timeless and light… perfect for spring sunshine!

We love trying new margaritas and this one did not disappoint! This Strawberry Champagne Margarita was spring in a glass! I mean really, can you go wrong when you put strawberries, champagne and tequila together? I think not!

This Blueberry Smash is exactly the spring drink you want to sip on this April! It is creamy, bright, full of coconut flavour and a perfect way to welcome spring! We used edible flowers I bought from Amazon to really make this drink look special!

Palomas are MY favourite drink and Old Fashions are Ninja’s favourite, so we put them both together and found this PERFECT spring drink, The Old Fashioned Paloma! It has the bourbon of an old fashion but the grapefruit of a paloma, put them together and you have a springtime old fashioned!

There is nothing that says spring to me like fresh melons and cucumber! This drink takes a little extra work to prepare it but honestly you will thank me later because this Cucumber Melon Sparkler is fresh, bursting with flavour and could possibly be considered life changing LOL. OK maybe not, but you won’t argue with getting your daily dose of fruits and veggies with this phenomenal drink!

Of all the spirits, gin is my favourite. It is clean and fresh tasting. I already told you how much I love palomas because of the refreshing grapefruit taste, well this marries the two. It is an Elderflower Spanish Gin & Tonic that will BLOW YOUR MIND! The mild gin, the floral elderflower and the tart grapefruit makes me wish spring lasted longer so we could enjoy these year round! Heck, with a drink that tastes this good? Who says we can’t?

Check out How Was Your Week, Honey? Episode #376: Boob Sweat. This week, we get together on a sunny, warm afternoon to discuss: podcast community, the Masters, Kiwanis, Fest of Ale, biopsy, Apple charges, hockey pool, SOW, pop country, & Coachella.

This was a slow week. I worked and got everything ready for my infusion next week! I read a few wonderful books and I can’t wait to share my next reading list with you all very soon. I took in the beauty of fruit blossoms popping up all around, enjoyed the sunshine on the balcony and HBear’s gym class took it outside. This weekend is The Masters! My favourite! It was also SBean’s Musical Theatre Competition! She has been working so hard and we were blown away by the entire performance! SBean can sing apparently! LOL It was really good! Her 2 Besties came to watch, brought her flowers and took her to White Spot for a lunch celebration. HBear attended a birthday party on Saturday night while SBean and her G6Besty has a sleepover, Ninja finished the deck and I finished The Masters!
