Podcasts.

I was really into them when I was pregnant with HBear. I would put on my earphones and listen to all the pregnancy podcasts that I didn’t want anyone to know I listened to. LOL

Ninja’s Cousin and Uncle have a podcast. Ninja was their guest this week. He wants to start a podcast that stars… Us! I’m not sure that would be a good thing lol with a blog I can delete the horrible things that I sometimes think lol and rethink it and then come back and say it in a more PC way.

I have a hard time thinking before I speak. Ninja loves me more than anyone and HE even looks at me sometimes and says “OMG did you just say that?” I am like a walking game of Cards Against Humanity.

Seriously, what is wrong with that game? We played it at my Sister’s with my WpgBesty. Those are 2 women with fabulous senses of humor. We pretty much made my WpgBesty laugh so hard she cried… But I think it turned into not happy tears at some point… And she’s tough, and has an awesome sense of humor. We made her say the worst things. LOL I am laughing in the same way I was laughing when a car slid into her when we were walking down a slippery street.

In grade 7.

While a whole group of grade 9 boys walked behind us.

It was so funny but so wrong at the same time.

In the game, 1 round we made her say the worst things. It ended with my card… I’m a fucking whore. Seriously? Bad.

Honestly, I asked Ninja after, “How could you give her that card?!!!!” He just glared at me and said between gritted teeth “F*ck off. I had 8 cards and 5 of them had the word autism on them!”

My WpgBesty’s daughter was recently diagnosed with Autism.

BAD.

But so funny.

Back to what I was saying, on the podcast they talked about first dates.

Way back when… In University I was in an Asian History class. I met this guy who really challenged me. We verbally sparred for half a year before I ran into him and his Besty at the bar. I was 21 so I was pretty hammered and outspoken lol. His Besty told me he was from Linden Woods. In Winnipeg that was like a gated community back in the day. I was from an older area of the city and I argued with him and called him privileged and nicknamed him Linden Woods LOL

Months later I got a job at Pizza Hut. My friend from history class worked there with Linden Woods. My History class friend liked me so we started hanging out. Of course my WpgBesty would come with us and Linden Woods tagged along too.

Linden Woods was HOT. The 4 of us went for coffee at the Blue Note and talked all night. He talked about architecture and his travels and living in the States. I was infatuated. A week later we were at a bar and I whispered in his ear, “I don’t like him. I like you. Want to go out for a drink just the 2 of us?”

He was shocked. LOL We went to The Toad in the Hole, a Winnipeg pub and had a few pints. After we sat there the whole night talking we went for a walk. We never ran out of things to say.

Linden Woods eventually turned into Ninja.

Now, that story sounds like we lived happily ever after… we did not. LOL His friend made it very awkward. Ninja felt guilty and backed off for a long time. We kept on having dates and we always enjoyed each other’s company. We ended up at The Pyramid watching a DJ from Portishead. It was awesome! We left on a high and I knew I had him hooked LOL it just took him about 5 ½ years of fighting it before he finally gave in and realized I was the one <3

So for the past week or 2 we have slowly been getting into our groove! With Thanksgiving this week I wanted to share some pics of what I am thankful for 🙂

I LOVE lasagna. Like Garfield Love. What I don’t like is how long it takes to make 🙁 This looked easy so we tried it! Yummy! I will still make my ridiculous lasagna that takes me practically 2 days to make lol but for an easy weeknight lasagna fix? Absofreakinglutely!
