Women complain about premenstrual syndrome, but I think of it as the only time of the month that I can be myself.
― Roseanne Barr

The worst thing happened yesterday.
The most horrible, Terrible, NO GOOD thing happened…
I got my period.
I don’t care that I am lucky and it has been 22 months since my last period. I just don’t care! I don’t want it!
Yes I know how I sound… Ninja certainly knows how I sound… you know what? I don’t care.
SOB
Cramps, blood, zits, emotional meltdowns, bitchiness, chocolate cravings. ALL BAD!
As a kid my cramps were so bad all I did was lay and cry. The Dr said words like, endometriosis and Naproxen and hot compresses, none of it helped.
After HBear I was very surprised. The cramps had lessened. My 7 day heavy flow that crippled me turned into a light flow of 3 maaaaybe 5 days. Finally I could deal with my dreaded period!
Last week I said to my S-I-Law “breastfeeding rocks! I still don’t have my period!” As soon as the words left my mouth I shivered a little. I believe in my Lit. class they called that foreshadowing lol
Yesterday I stood up and doubled over in pain. I knew right away. I pretty much crawled to the bathroom… and cried. Lol I am such a big baby SUCK!
But, I don’t care!
It would seem that we are back to terrible cramps, heavy and horrible periods. Hopefully they aren’t back to being long!!!
I had to remember where those stupid tampons were, oh and GREAT I only have a few left from 2 years ago, shit. Now I have to go buys some! PLUS, it has been awhile, I have to remember to change them!!! Granted with this much pain it shouldn’t be hard but in a few days… man, this SUCKS!
OK fine I will stop complaining now.
But I may come back to it… it’s my prerogative you know, plus, you got it, I don’t care! LOL
I just realized both HBear and SBean are going to go through this. Which means I have to put up with their “I don’t cares!” OMG I am scared! OMG I am even more scared for Ninja!!! Oh poor guy I should do something nice for him… next week J
So yesterday Ninja took SBean to Gymboree while HBear and I went shopping.

She is such a happy little girl, when she is happy lol. We have been very active in the mornings and having afternoon naps, seems to be working J Yesterday she went down at 1 and didn’t get up until almost 4!!!! She was still was asleep by 7:30 for bed though. We will continue this experiment unless she shows signs of completely losing it in the morning lol.

After dance class Ninja, my Dad and my I-Law’s took HBear out for dinner and to the Vees game. The Vees are Penticton’s Junior Hockey Team. Last night was school night. All the kids showed school spirit and cheered the Vees on! She had so much fun! Her little School Besty was there so it was “double the fun”, as she said J

Today was swimming class.
I did not go in the water.
And the camera battery died while taking video of SBean going under water.

And the loud hollow sound of the pool did NOTHING for my ear. Yes, my ear is still bothering me. I am still coughing, but not as much Thank God! But, I have zero hearing in my left ear.
Let me tell you a little story…
YEARS ago when Ninja and I had started dating, I got an earache. My Mom gave me some eardrops and told me to warm them up and drop it into my ear. So I asked Ninja to help J
Yeah, so neither of us knew how to heat up the drops. So of course like any good University student we thought of TV. Yup, we put the drops in a spoon and lit a lighter under it! WTF?!?!? I know right. STUPID!
So when it was “warm” Ninja got the dropper full and SHOT the whole thing into my ear.
Needless to say I passed out. He took me to the Dr. right away and I had 1st and 2nd degree burns on my eardrum. I had an ointment but really there wasn’t much we could do about it L… except of course bring it up repeatedly for the next 10 years, give or take LOL
So now whenever I get sick that ear bothers me right away. Plus I get car sick now, can’t go on rides or swings for that matter. The scar tissue is built up on that eardrum and I have a slight loss of hearing. Not trying to rub it in Ninja! I promise J
Obviously I am leery of putting anything into my ears now, especially that one. But this is driving me up the wall! My whole left side feels off. I feel like I am under water, but just on that side.
So last week I found a ear candle. What is that, you ask? It is a hollow tube that is made of paper and beeswax. You put it in your ear and light the top on fire. As it burns down it extracts any built up wax and TADA your ear is supposed to feel better.
So I tried it…

Yes that is me under the towel and the burning candle. Ninja… well this picture might just call us even LOL
It didn’t work.
The gunk it took out was disgusting so I know my ear is clean but I still can’t hear a thing! My sinuses must be so congested that the pressure is making it feel plugged. I don’t know but I think I have to call the Dr. tomorrow because it has been 2.5 weeks of this and I have stuff to do! LOL

Tonight we are going to my I-Law’s for a yummy dinner. Yesterday SBean and I had leftovers. Leftovers of what you ask? Well let me tell you…
On Friday I was craving fried rice! But, HBear would freak the Hell right out if we just had rice for dinner LOL So I used all the ingredients of fried rice but made, rice, baked sweet and sour chicken corns and peas. Mix it all together and you had “fried rice” lol. If I were on the Taste I would call this meal,
Deconstructed Fried Rice LOL

Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken
Adapted from The Recipe Critic
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
¼ cup canola oil
1 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons ketchup
¼ cup white vinegar
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, pressed

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
In separate bowls, place cornstarch and slightly beaten eggs. Dip chicken into cornstarch then coat in egg mixture.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned.

Place the chicken in a 9 x 13 greased baking dish.
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic. Pour over chicken and bake for 1 hour.

This is absolutely DELICIOUS! Mixed together, separate, it doesn’t matter just as long as it is in Ma Belly! LOL
This week I have lots of yummy things planned like a meatlovers pasta dish and Chicken Pad Thai Nachos! Check back in later to see those recipes… but if you don’t well, I don’t care! LOL
