Total exhaustion.
The past few days I have been fighting this stupid (Mommy we don’t use that word) I mean SILLY  cold. When is it going away? Why won’t it leave? Why does it keep moving from my head to my chest to my stomach? WHHHHHYYYYYYY?
Thursdays are my favorite day of the week because it is my morning coffee date with my BCB (B.C Besty). We go to this awesome café that makes everything from scratch and I get a nice cup of tea and an amazing scone or muffin. Lately I have been really digging the blackberry scone though J
After coffee I go to Walmart because I don’t have any kids with me. That’s right Ninja lets SBean have her nap in the morning, so when Mama is without kids… Mama goes shopping lol. After shopping I go to the school for Hot Lunch. For hot lunch me and the 2 ladies in charge get lunches (yesterday was pasta day) together and hand them out. It takes about 1 ½ hours and the other 2 girls are hilarious, so it actually seems like a “me” day even though it is still all about HBear LOL.
Last night Ninja made pizza, yummy! While he did that HBear and I made her teacher’s gift and a treat for her classmates.
It was a craft I did in Brownies and was totally manageable to do 16 of them without a whinefest… “Moooommmmy how many more do we have to do? This signing my name is really really tough!” Wah J
We used a candycane, 2 google eyes, 1 colored puff and a pipecleaner.
I twisted the pipecleaner on the candycane for antlers. Then HBear used a pencil and twisted the pipecleaner.

I put out a plate of white glue and HBear dipped the puff in for the nose. I did the eyes because they are tricky lol.

I cut out nametags and HBear signed them, it was cute!

After craft time we watched The Polar Express. I love that movie but can someone please explain the weird guy that lives on the top of the train? Who is he?
This morning was the PAC Pancake breakfast.
Ninja and a few other Dads grilled thousands of pancakes starting at 7:30 am hehehe.

The Moms, were there at 8 to set up and serve. My Dad watched the Bean and HBear came to school early with me J So of course I got my laundry in before we went and the dishwasher going so I could do a switch by lunch lol

It was fun! The kids all came in 3 classes at a time and we turned the tables over very fast. Each child was given 2 pancakes, a glass of water and a little bowl of syrup. Then we went around topping up waters, filling plates with more pancakes and refilling syrups. One boy ate 31 pancakes!!! They weren’t huge but seriously 31?!?! HBear ate 3 lol. After the kids we served the teachers. They got pancakes with a fruit compote, whip cream and juice.

We were home by lunch JJust in time to feed SBean, fold the laundry, empty the dishwasher and clean the bathrooms lol Friday is NOT my favorite day lol

I had to be back at the school by 1 for my helper afternoon. Today we made No Bake Kwanza Brownie Balls. So I call up each child 1 by 1, get each one to wash their hands and then each one gets to put an ingredient in the bowl.
No Bake Brownie Balls
½ cup walnuts
½ cup almonds
½ cup pecans
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cinnamon
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons maple syrup
¼ teaspoon vanilla
12-16 dates
½ cup icing sugar
Put the walnuts, almonds and pecans in a food processor and pulse.
Add the salt, cinnamon and cocoa powder to the processor and pulse.
Pour in the syrup and vanilla and pulse.
Throw in the dates and pulse.
Scoop out your mixture into a bowl. With greased hands scoop out little bits and roll to make a 1-2 inch ball.
Toss in a ziplock bag with the icing sugar.

So when I got to the school this morning it was +2 and I was still dreaming of a white Christmas… while I rolled the Brownie Balls the kids went outside to play…

WTF?????? As we have a snow clearing business, this is good lol Ninja and Dad will be out there EARLY in the morning lol

So after Brownie Balls and sledding, the kids all went to the gym for a sing-along, they were GREAT J

This evening we finished up the neighbor gifts and went and delivered them all. This year we made cinnamon candles.

Using an elastic ribbon HBear inserted cinnamon sticks all around a $ Store candle. The I attached a glitter snowflake. It was a tree ornament that broke J

So as I was saying…
G’Night J
