Does everyone know what day it is?
That’s right! It is the third Thursday of the month and what does that mean? That means library books are due.
I know it, you know it, the government knows it, the teachers know it, everybody knows it. I think at this point the teachers just have to take what they can get so that there’s room for negotiation in the future and I think that’s what this deal is all about… the future of our education system. I haven’t lived here for long enough to know for sure but everybody that grew up here talks like this is just a normal thing that happens every year for the last 30 years. I think the big picture here is the fact that our government misrepresented themselves. They lied to the public, they bullied a union, they gloated over a “win”, and peoples civil liberties were taken advantage of and this is not okay! I believe that all of Canada should be looking at what happened here in BC and be scared. Scared that the government, especially this liberal Christie Clark government, can destroy contracts, hold children as hostages and blatantly lie to media and constituents. It is appalling that they are getting away with their goon antics! I think this just shows us what we need to do is get out and vote to make a difference for us and our children! Political rant done.
“Yes there is mold and we are going to be charging you.”
Well I would like to see the book before you charge me!
“I don’t know… let me see if I can find it.” She pulls out one of HBear’s joke books. Clearly I can see that there’s mold all throughout the pages and the lady at the front desk says, “This wasn’t here before. You must’ve dumped it in the bath and then tried hiding it by dropping it off in the box.”
WTF? Seriously did you just say that to me? In front of all these people? Seriously?
Actually we don’t have a bath and I have always paid for any accidents, or should I say the 1 accident we had 2 1/2 years ago. I would never try to hide if a books was damaged. Books are very important to our family and I teach my girls to respect them. I don’t understand what happened but of course I will pay for whatever damage may have happened. Goodbye
I think… It is 1 piece of paper. Put it in the laminating sleeve and TA DA.
“oh you want it today? Well that isn’t on sale.”
“Fine it will be $1.81”
“Not right now though I have 5 other things on my plate”
I repeat… It is 1 piece of paper. Put it in the laminating sleeve and TA DA!!!!
Of course I didn’t say that but she must have felt it because without another word she went and ran it through, 20 seconds, $1.81, DONE.
I put the 15 pictures in this morning and I got the email already saying they are ready! Yay!
Spoke too soon lol We waited in the photo area for 28 minutes!!! Finally someone came in and said “oh I will find someone for you.”
Whaaaaaat. Breathe in, breathe out.
Another 12 minutes and the lady comes in. “Hi were you waiting long?” No sorry, just that. I waited for 39 minutes with SBean rolling all over the floor and HBear opening and closing her umbrella singing “The sun will come out tomorrrrrrrrrrrrrow” over and over again, just give me my pictures please.
So apparently superstore is the new McDonald’s because When we got home and started woking on journal, I noticed 3 pictures missing!!! Always check the bag. OMG SERENITY NOW!!!!
When we got home we had lunch,
Tonight we are staying with our 15-20 minute challenge and having loose meat sandwiches. LOL Remember when Rosanne and Jackie opened a loose meat sandwich restaurant? LOL I was all like what the hell is a loose meat sandwich?
Loose meat Sandwich = Sloppy Joes!
Today we are going to be using chopped green onions and chopped celery if you could already have those items chopped and in your fridge ready to go that would help keep you on time. Perhaps you had a few minutes last night or perhaps you cut all your vegetables on Sunday for your weekly dinners, anything that you can do beforehand will help you in long-run I can’t stress this enough. I may not be big on 20 minute meals usually but when I plan for a full week of dinners at Christmas time with the whole family and by the time everybody gets in I usually have all of my vegetables cut and prepped in Tupperware or Ziploc bags labeled for which meal it is that goes for breakfast lunch and dinner’s so then I just have to make it all 🙂
Sauté celery and green onion whites in oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until softened, 4-5 minutes.
Add garlic and ginger; cook 1 minute.
This was pretty darn tasty! PLUS I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! The Naan bread was perfect and less calories than a normal hamburger bun 🙂
Tomorrow is the last of our quicky meals, I have to say it actually took MORE time because I had to write 5 posts this week!!! LOL But, each week I will try to do a quick meal. Give more options for working parents or people that want to eat well but don’t have “nap time” to prep lol.
See you tomorrow 🙂
