Here is COUNTDOWN of my top 16 posts of 2015…

This year we did something Ninja & I had never done before! We took a trip… just the 2 of us! It was to celebrate Ninja’s 40th birthday and Dad and I surprised him with an awesome fun filled trip to Las Vegas Baby! This post was a recap of our 1st day.

16.  What Happens in Vegas…

I reread this post and laughed because I called out Carrie Fisher way before it was cool to, or not cool to, depends on which twitter feeds you follow 🙂 Also on his post is this stew that is the closest I have come to making my Mom’s delicious beef stew. It is a work in progress. 😉

15. Savory Beef Stew

OK this post was controversial. I even noticed that a few “friends” unfriended me on FaceBook after I posted this one. It is my opinion and my explanation… but the muffins are really good 🙂

14. In My Experience by An Over Scheduling Mom & Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

In this post, which was written quite recently, I wrote a forward about the Paris attacks, it also has one of my most favourite post formats… a day in the life of ME lol. This pasta has been very popular on Pinterest and is super easy to make!

13. Sausage and Spinach Pasta Skillet

Who likes meatloaf? My Dad. I was pretty sure he was the last person on Earth that still craved meatloaf. Apparently I was wrong! Another very popular post features my most dreaded dinner, meatloaf and garlic noodles.

12. Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and Homemade Creamy Garlic “Sidekick”

As far as I’m concerned this should have been way higher on the list. This cake is AH-MAZING!!!!!! Unfortunately I was so busy eating it that I forgot to take amazing pictures of it 🙁 This 1 is defiantly worthy though!

11. 3 Layer German Chocolate Cake and Non Resolutions

Another Day in the life post 🙂 This chicken has had a ton of hits. It is crazy easy and tastes delicious. Winner winner… well you know the rest 😉

10. Hawaiian Grilled Chicken

Our second day in Vegas made the cut! I highly recommend trying all that Las Vegas has to offer. We did! You can do it on a budget, I have lots of tips and reviews to help you plan an amazing trip!

9. What Happens In Vegas, Stays In Vegas… I hope!

This is a spring post! I guess you can’t go wrong with 2 awesome muffin recipes 🙂

8. Zucchini Banana Muffins and Banana Oat Muffins

Just like last year, HBear is very happy to know her back to school dinner made the top 16!

7. Back to School and Roasted Red Pepper Gnocchi with Spinach & Pine Nuts

I have found that HBear’s Journals are always popular posts. They should be lol they ROCK! This post also happens to have the recipe to my most bestest Puff Pastry Beef Pot Pies, so you really can’t go wrong with this top post!

6. Puff Pastry Beef Pot Pies and Spring Break Journal

I’m not surprised this post was popular. My Mom had a lot of friends. In fact I got a great message from one of her lifelong Bestys and she told me she loves reading my blog because she feels like I am so much like my Mom she could easily be my friend LOL! It made me laugh and cry 🙂 I like to use this blog as an outlet for my feelings. My Mom’s death ranks right up there with having my children as major turning points in my life. Just as I time reference BC (before children) I now use my Mom’s death as a reference point. Year 2 was a great day of sharing flowers and my Mom’s spirit with our whole town!

5. 2 Years But Who’s Counting?

Ninja’s guest spot on my blog was a MAJOR hit! As our trip to Vegas was for his birthday I was very curious as to how he saw our epic vay-cay. He didn’t disappoint! With his charm, wit and humour he captivated his audience and made the list in the top 5!

4. Las Vegas According to Ninja…

So I completely forgot about this post. When I reread it I had to laugh… it explains my Boxing Day Shopping adventure from last year. The funny part is I could almost copy and paste it and repost it this year!!! It was almost exactly the same lol I even bought the SAME jeans I bought last year (and later returned) and I even returned them again hours later AGAIN! I am so funny… or at least I think so… and others must have too because this post came in at a solid third spot! Oh and the stir fry? YUM!

3. Honey Pork Stir Fry

I don’t have to wonder why this one came it at #2. It has a Dragonfruit appy, Steak butter, Chocolate Mousse Brownies and a hilarious story about my kids getting the better of me… again. What more could you ask for 🙂 lol

2. Dragon Fruit and Tomato “Caviar” Appetizer, Steakhouse Butter, Chocolate Mousse Brownies

Drumroll please! And my #1 post of 2015 was…. written by my sister? Yup 🙂 I think I should be hurt or offended but in reality I am super duper EXCITED!! I think this means I can convince her to write another one!

1. My Week with HoneyBear: A Guest Post written by Kari Hachey

So, that’s it! That is the best of HoneyBears & SydneyBeans for 2015! Thank you so much for reading. I love writing this blog and hope to continue cooking, crafting and laughing for many years to come!
