There are three hundred and sixty-four days when you might get un-birthday presents, and only one for birthday presents, you know. – Alice in Wonderland

Soooo today is my birthday. I am officially 34. I kinda like that number, it isn’t my late 30’s or anything lol. Last night my Mom made me any dinner I chose. I picked French Onion soup, BLTs and Cherry Cheesecake, YUM! It was awesome, the food and the fact that I didn’t have to cook.

Homemade French Onion soup…Mmmmmm

Today, Mom cleaned my bathroom for me (I hate cleaning bathrooms) and I mean cleaned my light fixtures and everything! I got a Venti Vanilla Latte at Starbucks and Ninja is putting up my craft shelves. I have been working on a craft space for the past little while. Hopefully it will be done soon and I will show pictures!

I was ridiculously spoiled and got a new computerized sewing machine, a membership to Fabricland, a $50 GC for fabric, a travel mug PLUS tickets to Mumford & Sons in Vancouver this May!!! I am so freaking excited to get my sewing/craft area ready to go!

Big night out

Tonight Ninja and I are took our Groupon and headed out for dinner… without the kids!!! I feel a bit of guilt not spending birthday dinner with them but I lived. The worst was thinking that SydneyBean would cry the entire time and make my Mom & Dad’s movie night with the girls miserable. I pumped and got the bottles ready and we were off, to The Local.

The Amazing view

Great bottle of wine and too much to choose from
The Local is this awesome restaurant right on Okanagan Lake in Summerland. It specializes in preparing local food. Yes, I am the type of person that takes pictures of my food LOL

Cherry glazed ribs and  Caesar salad to start

Mushroom risotto, broccolini, New York steak topped with peppercorn sauce and candied cabbage
I had a great dinner, fantastic company and my worst fears were confirmed… SydneyBean cried the entire time we were gone and HoneyBear got scared of the 3D movie Rise of the Guardians and bit my Mom’s shoulder in fright!!!! WTF??? We will have to revisit these major issues at some point because this is soooo unacceptable *sigh*
On another note…
