Well I did it! I got my fat post-pregnancy ass back to work yesterday! I work at a local Greek restaurant down the street, part-time in the evenings. It is great way to get out of the house, make a little extra cash thst helps with the household “extras” and network for our business. PLUS I think I am going to be the Mayor someday. LOL In a small town, everyone has either come in or will at some point and they will remember the woman that served them, talked a little, was organized and had a friendly smile! It is the ONLY way to break into a tourist town filled with people that will NEVER consider you a local if you weren’t born here. Seriously.
So work was good. I have serious babybrain and every table ordered something special like a lime margarita?!?! I am NOT a very good bartender… Ninja was a bartender through our University years, so I let him make my drinks LOL I also got desserts… Americanos… Lattes… Espressos…. Caesars…. Martinis… Gift Cards… Gift Certificates… you name it, it came up last night! I really had to put on my thinking cap JNinja used a sippy cup to feed SydneyBean since she refuses breastmilk from a bottle, it went alright. She had a few meltdowns but nothing like the last time I left! Daddy was still there so I guess half the team = half the freak out! When I got home he looked exhausted… Poor Baby Daddy lol!
SydneyBean is doing it too!!! Yup, she has made it a whole 30 minutes in her crib! We moved from the bassinette to the crib and are trying naps out for now. Every 2 hours I feed her change her and put her in with a song. She cries and wails for about a half an hour… rolls onto her side and sleeps for about a half an hour. Whoo it is tough to listen to her screams. I hope she breaks soon. This is killing me.
