Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps & Beer Soaked Oven Fries

Life is “trying things to see if they work.”

So, I am loving the new PC plus program! I have had a PC credit card for years but I rarely ever use my credit card, so I rarely get the points.
Not anymore! Now that I can swipe my card and get points I am just racking them up lol. Especially when they tailor the points to ME! When I walk into superstore I see Kristin’s Store written on the front LOL
Last week I got the email telling me what stuff would give me more points. So I made my weekly schedule using those items. I didn’t spend any more than usual and I got 10 000 points in 1 visit! Yeah Me! LOL Plus my F-I-Law suggested going to the Superstore gas station and I got $5.00 off too! Super Yeah! J

This weekend was swimming and dance.

HBear seems to be getting tummy aches every dance class… hmmm I wonder if she is getting bored of that activity. I KNOW she loves to dance, she does it all the time, everywhere, as soon as she hears music she is dancing LOL but that is the 1 activity that she doesn’t seem too excited about LWe put her in everything so she can make her choices so at the end of the year we need to have a sit down and discuss this 1. She is crazy excited about gymnastics and Sparks. Swimming, well not only does she love it but living between 2 lakes makes it a necessity. So far T-Ball is so-so, she really hates sweating and having a sweaty hand in her glove LOL What a Freak-a-Bean lol. Soccer starts in April…. So we will have to see.
It is weird because I was a baseball and ringette girl. I never imagined my kids playing soccer and gymnastics LOL. We put her in skating and that was the only thing she ever complained about. Just not for her. She would rather read about skating and ice lol She does NOT like being cold HAHA Thank goodness we don’t still live in Winnipeg! Today we are actually getting snow! To be honest it was chilly this weekend. I took the girls to the park and bundled them up. We met HBear’s Besty there but HBear complained about being cold for the whole time. What a marshmallow! LOL
1st time down slide by herself… NO FEAR!

Waiting for her friend to arrive 🙂
Because we went to gymnastics yesterday, I didn’t get the sheets done L So today because it is grey and cold (only +5… sorry to my friend out east), we are hanging out inside today. Doing laundry, vacuuming and cleaning the ceiling fans. HBear LOVES sheets day, it means she doesn’t have to make her bed LOL I also got rid of ALL maternity underwear! Yup only pretty little undies for me from now on! LOL Ninja will be happy, personally I am just sick of pulling them up all the time J

I did 6 loads of sheets and towels today!!

Due to the fact that my Points led me to a fresh pineapple this week, we had homemade pizza on Sunday. Daddy made HBear her own special pizza and let her put her own toppings on, she picked sauce, cheese, ham and bacon LOL

We made a cereal necklace on Sunday 🙂
SBean has also been doing a great job of eating it as much as possible. She is a pineapple FREAK! For lunch I made cinnamon, vanilla French toast… she ate 2 pieces!!! PLUS pineapple! I mean, I agree, add a little vanilla, milk, a little nutmeg and cinnamon and they taste just like mini donuts from the fair! But 2 pieces??? HBear stillcan’t do that LOL

So I really want you to see what I see… all day,

She is soooo cute but she is such a leech LOL especially with that molar coming in L She is attached to my legs, hence why I had to get rid of the maternity underwear… she keeps pantsing me! LOL

Ninja and Dad have been doing a huge job out in Oliver. The new school. So they have been gone the past few days. Tonight we are having Chicken Caesar wraps and beer soaked baked fries. Not exactly comfort food on a cold day L But I know they will both like it! Aaaannnnd tortillas gave me 600 points! LOL
BTW The Oilers kicked the Canucks butts last night… just saying! LOL
Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps

Place the chicken in a slow cooker with chicken broth, cover and cook on low heat for 5 hours.

Remove the chicken from the slow cooker using a slotted spoon and drain the broth from the slow cooker.
Place the chicken on a cutting board and shred the chicken.

Place the chicken back in the slow cooker and pour the dressing, Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of parsley, and pepper over the top. Stir until mixed evenly. Cover and cook on high heat for 30 minutes.

Beer Soaked Oven Fries
Adapted from Beeroness
1.5 lbs russet potatoes
1 can lager (I used Bud, it was in the fridge)
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tablespoon salt
2 cups water
¼ cup canola oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
teaspoon onion powder
teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon sugar

Cut the potatoes into ½ inch strips.
In a large bowl add the beer, garlic and salt. Add the potatoes to the beer, add just enough water that the potatoes are fully submerged.

Cover and chill for at least 3 hours and up to 12.
Move the oven rack to the top 1/3 of the oven, place a rimed metal baking sheet on the rack. Preheat oven to 425.
Drain the potatoes and rinse well. Place on a stack of paper towels and pat dry.

Add to a large bowl, drizzle with canola oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sea salt, black pepper and sugar.

Toss until well coated.

Pour the potatoes onto the baking sheet in an even layer.

Bake for 20 minutes. Turn with a spatula and bake until golden brown, an additional 15-20 minutes.

*I made the girls their own French fries without beer but with the seasonings J*

The girls ate so well they got Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake for dessert! On Saturday they had customer appreciation day and all cakes were 50% off. I even went through the drive thru lol “Yes I would like a cake please… oh the BIG one please. Ummmm a girl cake, yes please. Nope nothing special written on it, just because J” LOL

Princess HoneyBear loves ice cream cake and I have to say, SBean was a big fan LOL
