For last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning.

It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone! To be quite honest… It’s hard to believe it’s 2019! I remember back when I was a kid and 2019 sounded so far in the future that I assumed we would be living like the Jetsons. Now that I know how much has changed, I’m surprised to say that I couldn’t even imagine all the technology and changes that would happen to our every day way of life!

It is also hard to believe that this is my 423rd post! I would just like to thank each and everyone of you for following along on this adventure! I have so many surprises in the works and lots of new ideas for this coming year!

2018 was awesome! This week I don’t have a new recipe for you but I took a look back at all 47 posts from the past year and I am proud to present:

It was a little bit late but we finally got snow! Instead of a white Christmas we had a white New Year’s! While Ninja was out working, the Girls and I shovelled our house, both of our elderly neighbour’s houses, and took a little time to play 😉.

On boxing day we met my in-laws at Desmios Escape Rooms to try our luck at escaping their Magic Room! While we didn’t get out this time, we look forward to trying again soon!

We made a delicious dinner for Grandma and Grandpa this week and I can’t wait to share the recipes with you! HBear was a super big help and SBean provided the reading entertainment after dinner!

SBean also lost her 2nd tooth this week! Her cousin SweetPea Facetimed her in the morning and just as they began to chat SBean yanked it out 😂 of course that’s when the phone went dead 😳😆. The Tooth Fairy brought her $3.00!

On a particularly cold and snowy afternoon we stayed in and had a family game day! Papa had bought HBear a new game for Christmas called, Labyrinth. It is awesome! We played it a few times! Super fun game!

That evening Ninja and I pampered the girls with a spa night. We gave them face masks and hair masks while we clipped their toenails and massaged their feet (BEST parents EVER). After they bathed and rinsed themselves we soaked their hands in essential oil water and then gave them each pretty manicures! They absolutely loved it!

On Sunday we met Grandma and enjoyed watching, Mary Poppins Returns! We were very pleased with the movie and enjoyed it immensely!

We ended our year with a bang! It was a gorgeous day here in the valley and we took full advantage of it! We took a quick stroll along the beach, had lunch at the Bonfire Grill in West Kelowna and then went to the movie theatre to see Spiderman Into the Spiderverse! Freaking AMAZING movie! We ALL loved it!

After the movie we drove into Kelowna to enjoy New Year’s Eve at Stuart Park! We went ice-skating, enjoyed free hot chocolate, face painting, and games set up all throughout the park. Then we headed over to the community theatre for free pictures, crafts, and bouncy castles!

We ended our evening in Kelowna with dinner from the food trucks, mini donuts, and spectacular fireworks!

When we got home, we did a Netflix New Year’s Countdown with 2 VERY tired little Girls and then after a nice hot shower, Ninja and I crawled into bed! We settled in with a wobbly pop and the Canadian Jr game and then the Oiler game!

Well, thank you 2018 and thank YOU so much for following along with me on this journey. From my family to yours, Happy New Year’s! I wish you all peace and happiness in 2019 💛.
